Steve,

Are you sure that your display units are in imperial gallons? They may be US gallons. A quick MPG calculation will confirm it one way or the other the next time you fill up.

Thanks Harold

I never thought of that either, you could be right. I will check next time.
My handbook says Tank capacity is 19.8 Gal or 16.5 Imp Gal and the trip computer either shows MPG or L/100km, but not whether it is US or Imp. , interesting.

Best regards
Steve

My MPG display stay at 15.6~15.9 since I own it. I'm ok with it since its 80% city-city driving & I always let it sit 2~3 minutes to warm up (even for few mintues drive). I only drive it once or twice per week, I want to make sure the engine gets enough lube before I drive it.

On the last 260miles trip (99% highway), I get 26.1 with 50% w/ top+AC & 50% top down. I think my SC is running just fine without any MPG lost

On a 04 SC I am consistently averaging 25 in suburban driving and 30 mpg on the highway! I do drive carefully and my good friend down the street with an 06 gets approximately the same. And keep in mind that this is Denver driving at 6000ft. plus elevations! We must be doing something right!

Question from me - can I change the units from imperial to metric ?

I can do on the nav unit - but would be useful to also do on trip computer for euro trip.

Hi ser67

Page 63 of the handbook says the trip info can show in Mi or Km, but no idea how or if you can change it.
Never tried.

Best regards

On our summer trip for the past 1700+ miles we've been averaging 23-27 mpg on 93 octane...I use the Trip A button each time I fill up....I am very happy with the mpg as our totally awesome Dodge minivans at home only get 23mpg no matter how we drive.....

Drove from Littleton, CO to Telluride, CO via Gunnison, Telluride to Silverton & back, then Telluride to Littleton via Norwood & Grand Junction and averaged 28.7 for the trip.
Stayed around 75 on the freeways + sprited driving in the mountains.

Default sc mpg

nice results for a v8, wonder what a 1jz would do in this car for mpg, not to mention the increased power.

We have only had our 2005 about a month, but so far we are getting about 18 city and 25 highway. Very happy with this.

Between 12 and 18 mpg, all driving within West Los Angeles, usually during commute hours. Lots of traffic, stop-and-go, stoplights, and stop-signs. No wonder everyone here has Prii/Prius'/Priuses!

Took the Lexus from Cambridge (in the UK) to France (Calais), all the way down to the very south of Spain then back up though Barcelona and Dijon and back to Cambridge.

Total journey was 3200 miles.

According to the trip computer, average speed worked out to 60 mph and average MPG was 29.4

All on RON95 petrol

Not bad, never really had it over 24/25 previously !
