To 'rewire' it would require a switch that could be operated off the mute line and mix the mono audio from the phone to the left and right input on the amp. However, I am pretty sure the radio tells the amp to mute during a call, so you would have no output from the amp. You would need to split the mute line coming from the radio to the amp to prevent it from muting the amp.

In short, it would take far more than just rewiring it. The cheaper/easier option would be an aftermarket radio, unfortunately.
Fair enough, thanks for the answer.

Also I saw that you purchased one of those 7" monitors with a drive board, did you ever fit it in? I bought one too, arrived on Friday, was hoping to do iPhone mirroring on it but plugging in an iPhone through HDMI didnt give me a picture, trying to talk to the seller to figure out why.

Off topic - Seeing the poster that started this thread I could not help but to give credit where credit is due. No offense to anyone else, but since I've been posting in this forum, VVTiBob was probably one of the best posters, if the not the best when it came to knowledge and accuracy, one smart guy that I miss posting on this board.

the problem could be with your phone, beatsonic or the radio head unit.

Default Still hanging in there....

Been dealing with a whole lot of health issue during the last few years, had my latest heart surgery on 11/17/17 but feeling much better, although I'm wondering if I'll set off the metal detectors at the airport these days.
Will be checking in more often, and yes I still have my 02. But like me, age is creeping up on it too. Have some leaks from parrished gaskets and seals I will be working on as time and my Doctor & wife permit.

you had me worried Bob. So glad you’re feeling better. Health issues been kicking my butt too. I ended up retiring in 2016 because of it. My 2010 isn’t being used like it should be. Since I picked it up in ‘14 I went from 28k to 32k miles. Sold my 02 back then. When I retired I moved from Diamond Bar to Costa Mesa. Are you still in the San Diego area? Best of luck neighbor.

Great to see you back Bob! As you can tell, we've missed you and your contributions, even those who weren't around while you were contributing. I hope that your heath turns around for the better for you.
Harold
