driver's window acting funky

will depress driver's side window to pay for fast food, etc. then hit auto return button. window starts to close, gets 80% up,then stops as if hitting foreign object, re-depresses to bottom.

has happened 3 times now. only fix is to stop, turn car off,re-start,lower both windows completely then close. both windows then close/open normally.

again, it's as if the window sensor senses an object in the pathway so stops cold at 60-80% closed. have never had this ever happen with an electric window before.

any ideas?

Did you recently have an extended loss of power to the car I.e. car battery disconnected? If so the window regulator will need to be reset.
To reset the windows after disconnecting the battery:

Go to the local switch at each window and manually run the window full down then full up. This must be done at each door as each window is individually manually reset by doing this. The windows will then operate automatically from both the local switch on each door and the remote switches on the driver's door. If this method doesn't work then there is another but it requires taking the inside door panel off and doing a manual reset on the window regulator.

After removing the door panel on the driver's side: Temporarily install the window regulator master switch.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
Fully close the door glass by manual operation.
Using a Dia. 2 mm (0.079 in.) round bar, keep the reset switch pressed.
Fully open the door glass by manual operation with the reset switch pressed.
Remove the round bar from the reset switch and then fully close the door glass by manual operation.
Check if AUTO UP -> AUTO DOWN operates. CAUTION: Be careful as the jam protection function does not operate just after the initialization is performed.
After closing the window fully by AUTO UP operation, initialize the regulator again when performing the reverse operation.
Check that the power window functions.

Yes that's true if the battery is disconnected long enough for the residual stored energy is exhausted. Typically a period > 90 seconds.
