I'm back.....
Some of you might know me from my previous cars and DIY threads I have written..
I recently sold my VIP BAGGED 2006 GS430 and also my 2002 SC430 to another member on here. Well I miss the SC so I'm coming back with some big plans. Some of you might of seen the thread of my buddy Joe Drifter sc430 build with the V8 Tundra 5.7 liter with the TRD supercharger. Well we will soon be both in his shop working on fitting and also achieving a Aristo 2JZGTE Twin Turbo VVTI swap with a 6speed V160 tranny from a TT Supra in my sc430 that I buy. I am shooting for about 500-600hp.. I am currently trying to purchase a salvage/cheap complete shell to start this project. More to come. Stay tuned!! :) |
Holy crap. If you get it fitted. That would be my next project.

Look forward to seeing that, go for it VIPNiSS

VIPNiSS, in the FWIW category, someone pointed out a salvage car in the last year or so. It was going for cheap because some rodents had made their home in it and it stunk or something. If you are going to gut it, that car may work for you if the rodents just stayed in the engine compartment.
BTW, welcome back. Sounds like a cool project. |
I bought my SC430 with the intention of swaping my 2jzgte vvti out of my SC300 into it but my only draw back to doing this swap is the emission related issues here in NYC. This is why I started looking into doing a Tundra 5.7 swap. But the Tundra 5.7 swap it would set me back 1 1/2 to 2 year. Plus a whole heep of custom work. The 2jzgte Engine drops right in with factory engine mounts according to Joe Drifter. The 2jzgte vvti swap would only cost a new wire harness, Pipes for intercooler & New exhaust :uh: :uh: :uh:
