1. In what year did you buy your SC430?

June 2011

2. What year is your SC430?

2003

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it?

71K

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs,

I know I got a good deal. Every online site I visited showed the retail price to be over $23K. No problems mechanically since purchase. I did however, replace the trunk struts for about $30 and had a 4-wheel FEA done for $65 (local shop, not at a Lexus dealer).

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC:

I paid less than $20K. Then I bought a 3 year/36K mile warranty, with $100 deductible that covers almost everything bumper to bumper.

Yes - it was in the garage for all that time is in brand new condition.

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC: I paid $17K but have had to repair the top motors ($1500) and the a/c compressor ($1300). Still think its a good deal though.

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC: $65k + $4k for TRD Chrome 18" Wheels and Runflats = $69k

1. 2013
2. 2004
3.103K
4.Yup, only expenses so far are for what I wanted to do, not what needed to be done.
5. $16.5K CDN dollars. Seller was originally wanting in the $22K range. You try and find one in Canada for that kind of money in this good of condition. Based on supply (very limited up here) and demand (I HAD to have it), I think I stole it.

2007 purchased in 2012 with 11K miles on it for $31K. It was essentially like a brand new car. There weren't and still aren't any signs of creasing in the drivers seat.

I looked for over a year and seriously for 6 months. This car was $10K less than past similar examples that I didn't pursue (mileage, year, and time of purchase all factored in).

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)?
Yes - I thought it fair for a CPO from a dealer

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC430? $32K, plus my 2002 T-Bird (fair/rough condition)
At that time for that year with that many miles, you got it for about $10K below KBB trade in. By far the best deal I've ever heard of and somewhat difficult to believe. It had a clean title?

Notice the other one who paid $17K less than you did for a 2007 (only a year older) with even fewer miles. Your price was right around private party kbb at that time. Still a very good price.

Bought my SC430 in August 2013
It is a Tigereye Mica 2007
It had just under 60,000 miles
I payed $26,000 for it
Not a particularly good deal, but I wanted something other than your black, white, or silver. I have come to accept the price because it is a fantastic car that looks so good. In sunlight it lolls like it's copper.

Tigereye Mica *IS* the best color on that car. That may be subjective until you do a poll and discover that most people like that color best.

But it's rare. Too rare to find a really low mileage SC430 like we did. I eventually gave up and settled with black, the most common color on that car.

Does any one actually like the 2009 mercury metallic Pebble Beach black wood color - it reminds me of the early plastics!!!

Otherwise love the car and yes I'll second on the Tigereye Mica

1. In what year did you buy your SC430?
July 2011

2. What year is your SC430?
2002

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it?
73K

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)?
Yes, it was a very good deal, and in beautiful condition with everything operating perfectly. It is a daily driver, now with 116K.
Have done almost all work myself. Brakes, radiator, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, rear diff fluid, DRL lamps and lots of oil changes with synthetic.

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC430?
$17.2K

Picked it up out of state and flew my son out with me to pick it up. We turned it into a baseball trip on the way back, seeing games in three cities, including a no-hitter in Cleveland and Albert Pujol's 2000th hit in St. Louis. Very memorable.

1. Bought my SC 430 in Jan 2014 from a wholesaler in Honolulu
2. It's a 2002
3. It had 124,300 miles
4. I feel like I got a FANTASTIC deal - it was a one-owner, dealer serviced car, that was kinda scratched up on the edges - likely from living in a high-rise parking garage. The interior and mechanicals are top-notch, so I'm delighted.
5. I paid $8600

[QUOTE=jasone36;6724901]Out of curiosity, I would like to do a very unscientific, "gut-feel" survey of how much everyone paid for their SC430s. I figure there's no better crowd than this to throw the question out there...

1. In what year did you buy your SC430? Nov. 2013

2. What year is your SC430? 2002

3. Roughly how many miles did the SC430 have when you bought it? 78,000

4. Do you feel you got a good deal (did the car break down after purchase, incur high repair costs, etc)? At first I felt like I overpaid (which I still think to be the case!). Having said that it drives like new. I had to drive it 900 miles home from Phoenix to Boise and it passed that test hands down. We did a 3,500 mile road trip in July through the AZ desert and up the West Coast without a hitch so I'm feeling better about the price each drive!

5. Roughly how much did you pay for your SC430? $21,000 which included an extended warranty.
