SC430 Takes out Yet Another Bird
My SC430's ongoing feud with the international brotherhood of birds seems to continue....
Today it took out its FIFTH bird - a Canadian goose. Landed in the middle of the road immediately in front of me. No chance to brake or maneuver. Thump at 35 mph and a very dead goose in the rearview mirror (much to the horror of the SUV behind me)
I cannot believe how many times this has happened with this car. Birds just seem to fly right into my silver SC430. 125,000 miles and 5 dead birds. Nearly all of them were at low speed like today. On the other hand, they seem to see it fine when bombing the car though.

Wonder if this is the kind of thing you have to disclose to a buyer if you sell car?
"Oh...and about every 25K miles this thing takes out a bird. I use it as a reminder to check the air filter and tread wear."

It all started the first month we had her. Out for a ride in the countryside, top down, and a bird drops a blueberry from its beak right onto the Ecru rear seat. The feud began and has not since ended.
International Brotherhood of Birds vs SC430
They fling their angry bird attacks against the SC, but the results have been one sided. (Except for a crow at 65 MPH which did obliterate my front license plate protector)
I've learned to NEVER park under a tree. They know when they see the car.
Biggest game taken down by her was a big adult raccoon who decided it would be a good idea to dash across the road after my front wheels passed by but before the rear wheels.
