Default Opinions please from owners of multiple SC430

For those of you(if any) that have sold/traded their 2002-2005 for a 2006 and newer, would you say the difference was a big deal, small deal or a waste of your money? Thanks.

I don't know either but I thought I remembered reading that a few have done that. I am in the market and I am probably looking for a 2006-2007 but could save a chunk of change going back to 2002-2003. It seems there's always one in seemingly great shape coming up for sale.

And do you miss what you don't have with the 2006+? Doesn't sound like it.

I drove both before buying my 2006. For me, the change in transmission made a big difference, as the pre '06 had much more lag and that was a big factor in my enjoyment of the car.

Must agree that the 6 speed would give you a better feel.

In terms of actual enjoyment, I think the integrated Bluetooth (with steering wheel controls) is sorta a big deal. That's an everyday use thing.

Both of these were a consideration for me as well.

it all depends i suppose i got my 04 with only 8k on it for around 30k in December still smells new and looks new, im at around 10k now. I added the 06+ tail lights and the Navtool/Vias Tech SLU for video/back up camera/ipod. The 02-05 has a little more HP and i hear the lag issue can be solved for around 300 bucks. I dont think i would shell out alot of cash for an 06+ unless it was a 2010. The 6th gen nav and oem ipod integration seem worth it.

i only have a 2002. if i had the money i'd trade it in for a 06+... I think its worth it. the 6 speed transmission is a + for me. an old car is an old car. coming from an 07 IS250. i miss the new features.

I really like the upgrades going from my previous 04 to the 2010..big jump in years, but I like all the extras. Plus having the last year made is very special as well.
