Default Switched RFT's to Conventional Tires - Questions!

I finally went to the dark side and ditched my Bridgestone Turanza ER33 non-directional tread pattern run flat tires and replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport AS conventional tires that have a directional tread pattern. The RFT’s I ran at 34 psi and with the Michelin’s I’m running at 36 psi. My gas mileage has decreased by about 2 plus mpg and probably due to the break in, and I'm getting a bit more noise than I expected, but it’s not bad. The ride is better, no question about it, but I would not call it magnitudes better. I also put an OEM spare in the trunk that added minimal weight to the car. Has anyone else had this same experience with a decrease in gas mileage due to tread design, etc.? I have experienced this with a SUV aggressive tread vs. no aggressive tread, but did not think I would experience this on the SC430 going from non-directional to a directional tread pattern. Perhaps I should be keeping my conventional tires at a higher psi then the door recommendation that could be specific to RFTs?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or input.

PS I do have a 30 day guarantee or Michelin promise should there be any suggestions of other tires

IMHO, 36 psi is too high, stick with the 34. I did not experience a loss in fuel economy. I average 21.4 with a mix of road and city driving.

After driving on the Michelin's for a few weeks, yes there is a loss in MPG, but that could be due to the tread design difference. Overall, the Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus are soft, quiet and yield a much better ride than the RFT's.
