Welcome to Club Lexus! SC430 owner roll call & member introduction thread
#121
Hi all, New SC430 owner, but also own a CT200h and previously an ES300h. Purchased a 2009 Pebble Beach Edition (Silver/Ecru with black interior highlights) as a replacement for my 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder. Both are/were all stock and I'll probably keep it that way. Car is in great shape other than the Pebble Beach logo on the drivers floor mat and a few very minor parking lot dings. 79k miles. Mark Levinson sound, Nav, spoiler. Don't know if there were any other options. I am the 3rd owner, all in California.
Trying to upload pics....hope it works.

Hello from WA
Hi everyone, Ive been a lurking guest on the forums for a long time but decided to participate further! This is my 2nd 2002 sc430, however this is the first one I've done any modifications to. So far I have changed the head unit out for a pioneer Bluetooth screen w/ steering wheel control eliminating (for now) the upper screen, all interior/exterior lights are LED or HID, 20% window tint, 50% windshield tint, Diazen complete car bushings, Tien springs, Stagg struts, SPC adjustable front A-Arms, custom header back true dual exhaust with H pipe and cat elimination. My future goals are to get the rear camber corrected, probably utilizing the SPC kit, and then replace my crapy wheels with some quality18x8 +20mm keeping the 245/40/18 tires. We have horrible potholes here so 18" is as big as i can go. I may add 10mm spacers in the rear if they have room. I really don't want any rubbing! ill also probably continue to make improvements to the stock sound system. Any other members from WA?

Bgw70, here's someone who can give a review of the stagg dampers, on the sc430. The sc is looking good.

First Lexus & first post. This forum has been really informative. I never really liked the SC430, however, I have always liked convertibles and my 99 Corvette convertible was getting really aggravating getting in and out/manual top/etc. Doesn't help that I broke my leg just after turning 48 last year.
I was shopping around the salvage auctions for convertibles to hopefully replace the Corvette when I saw a 2003 SC430 (170k, undercarriage damage, 2 busted wheels) and it started to grow on me. It came up for auction before I had a chance to go look at it, but I bid on it anyway and got it. All it really needed was 2 wheels and it was driveable. Unfortunately, I can't stop driving it long enough to put it in my shop and install the timing belt kit I've had in the backseat the past 3 weeks.
I know it doesn't look like much, but I'm thrilled. So thrilled, I bought another one (low mileage wreck) for parts. I'm now officially hooked. The plan is to find a third SC430, use up my parts car, mod the heck out of one and keep one pretty much stock.
Oh, and get rid of the Corvette.

Been here at CL a while now with my GS300 and bought this yesterday.
Have not yet taken delivery because the seller will fix one of the motormounts.
It's a 2001, 241k miles car that hasn't seen much use in the last 4 years.
Full Lexus dealer service history though including timing belt etc.
Drives ok and most of the electronics work except for satnav (check DVD message) and radio door. I have a spare navigation computer which will probably fix the satnav.
Seeing as this car will most likely need more work than my GS, I'm looking forward to spending more time here.
Cheers,
Johan

Welcome to our European brothers, always liked those side marker lights as well as the Indigo Ink Pearl color. Goes well with the interior IMO.

I'm in Denver. 2006 SC430 with only 17,800 miles. Would love to participate in a Colorado meet-up, or nearby.

Well I’m not a newbie but my lastest acquisition is a newbie to CL. Let me officially introduce our new to us 2007 Matador Red Mica and Ecru interior, with only 29k miles. The Blue one is our 2002 with 91k miles. i added my 2000 White Trans Am to make it a patriotic introduction. Funny thing is, non of these cars were built in the United States! Japan and Canada!
