Lexus Test Driver
Very impressive! Have been a Corvette gal forever but my 2002 Vette convertible was wearing out at 175,000 miles. I really wanted a hard top convertible and randomly found this 2007 Lexus SC430 with only 49,000 miles. Very clean, garage kept, Florida car. Gray (not my choice but very sharp) exterior with saddle interior seats with Mark Levinson audio and bluetooth. Smooth running and responsive, loves the road!
Downside is the speakers do rattle, I've been reading posts on how to correct. Love having my tunes on while driving. Right now the bass is almost off and they still make noise.

the speaker foam is gone and if replaced will sound awesome again!
are you handy with basic tools?
if so, you can repair these speakers for a few dollars.
have your seen the threads?
BTW, beautiful SC430!
today is a top down day in Cocoa Beach!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your acquisition. It sounds like a good one.
Like Bgw & Lawler said, the speakers can be repaired. (OEM replacements are very expensive, which is why many have made changes to their sound system.) If you aren't handy with tools and mechanically inclined, there are places that you can send the speakers to be re-foamed also. (The links should be in some of those same threads documenting the speaker repair DIY.) Good luck and let us know how it goes.

She might not be the queen of the ball but she's definitely a head turner.
Hello Fellow SC'ers!
I'm from Pasadena, CA and began shopping for a SC430 in summer of '18. I purchased my lady on 1/11/19. I did my research and looked (examined and test drove) 23 candidates that ranged between '02 to '09, $7k to $26k, 180K to 78K. I'll post more pictures of her as soon as the sun comes out and stops raining.
I feel very lucky to have found a 2002 SC. I'm the proud third owener. Clean CARFAX. The first owener bought her from the Lexus Dealership in Berverly Hills. on Sept 5, 2002. And she came with every service record from the dealer until he sold her to his cousin in 10/22/05. This owener also kept up the every 5k visit to the Santa Monica Lexus dealer/shop until I bought her. He had a complete and thorough thick file of all her records of everything, no matter how small. She averaged 6750 miles a year. Remarkable for a car in Los Angeles. I knew the minute I sat in her that she was going to be mine. I could tell by how the owners (lovely couple) spoke about her, I knew I was buying a member of their family.
I purchased a;
2002 SC430
Millennium Silver
Black interior enchanced in walnut trim
Nav system with compass
Rear Spoiler
Beverly Hills Special Limited Edition
Sterling Silver Medallion
designed by Tiffany and Co
All this is from the original sticker.
I plan to repair the speakers and give her a new pair of BF Goodrich shoes as soon as she wears these out a bit more. Other than that, everything else I do will be her regular beauty bath and annual visits to the pros. The only pic of her I have is on the flatbed. I live 40 miles from where I found her and wasn't sure about the insurance.
As I said, I feel very lucky and proud.

Bob in Upstate NY; meet Betty Blue...
Hello everyone!
I've been on this forum for a while but until now I have only owned RX's. My family vehicle is still a 2015 RX350. I've had 3 RX's in a row.
After a long search, I finally found her. My 2006 SC430 arrived yesterday morning. I'm in Upstate NY and she came from Michigan. She started out as a Florida car though. I'm the 3rd owner. She has 56k miles on her. She's Indigo Pearl with the Camel and dark walnut wood interior. All of my RX's were Matador Red and had the Ecru/Parchment interior with the red-ish walnut wood so this still seems strange to me. I love this blue though...
The previous owner took great care of her and included the maintenance records. The TB, WP, thermostat, etc, were already replaced. He did have a reoccurring issue with the TPMS light coming on. One wheel's sensor was worked on more than once at his local Lexus dealer. Now it's something for me to get fixed. I'd like to keep it functional and I'll be running non-runflats.
Years ago he had a bent rim/wheel so he had them replaced with IS250 wheels. It cost him a bundle at his Lexus dealer. I can't explain it but he went with 17" wheels and 225/50R17 tires. I like the look of the wheels and she actually feels much, much better going over bumps than my RX. I'm not sure yet what I'll do when it's time to replace the tires. I really think that I'll stick with those wheels but I might change to a wider and slightly lower profile tire. I have plenty of time to think about it.
My 1st upgrade with be a backup camera. I've found great posts on this forum on what to use and how to do it. My next upgrade with be to add bluetooth audio. I'm leaving the current head unit and Navigation alone...well, I did replace the Nav DVD with the latest version.
One thing that I've discovered is that she uses the exact same oil filters that my old 2000 RX300 did. I still have a number of them and the filter socket...I never thought that I'd use them again but I didn't know anyone that could use them. Oh, by the way, I always name my vehicles. This one is Betty Blue....

Wow Looks Great Love the wheels, Yea I have the Same Tpm Problem as well. Whenever My comes back from the dealer the Tpm light would be off after a day or 2 it comes back on. Ive gotta it to go out myself one time & could never get it to go out again. I’ve tried many mornings but no luck.

I was able to bargain her down to $21,500. With the low mileage and all of the maintenance being done regularly, it was a good deal. I looked at too many '06 to '08 SC's that had 30-40k more miles and were not as well maintained.
