You're right, same colors as yours.

Very nice. It looks like you have the ecru leather (light or white) and the lighter wood package. Mine is the dark wood and saddle (think of the color of a typical saddle or baseball mitt).

Ah, yes, I looked up pictures. You're right again, it's the ecru.

I have an appointment tomorrow to tighten the transmission pressure after reading about it in some threads on here. Hopefully get rid of the slow start and slow shifting I feel sometimes.

I live in Franklin, TN and would welcome suggestions on who to use to update the Nav and radio, and best options to do so.

My suggestion would be to leave the Nav unit intact to preserve originality, but change out the radio with a CarPlay or Android Auto capable entertainment system to give you modern Nav capabilities via Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze.

I've had very good luck with the Pioneer AVH-2400NEX as the stereo system and the Beat-Sonic double din head unit (2002-2004 specific). Both of these (or similar models) are talked about in great detail in other posts on this forum.

One thing of note: prepare for potential tough screen visibility due to the bright sun when the top is down, but that's a decent tradeoff for what you get over the standard unit.

Hello fellow Lexus SC junkies,

I'm certainly not a new owner of a Lexus SC. To date, I've owned two of the over the past 15 years. It really is the best vehicle I've ever owned...certainly my favorite. I had a 2004 pearl white with off-white interior and the birdseye maple dashboard. Now I have a 2004 indigo ink with the saddle interior and mahogany dash. Thanks for the welcome to this club. I certainly should have joined years ago.

Terri

Welcome to the forum Terri.

Sounds like you are an experienced SC owner. As you've already found out, there is tons of useful information on this site. You'll find that even the dealer mechanics aren't aware of some of the information that you'll find here. (A number of us have had to educate them to deal with various problems in the past.)

Default My first Lexus

Very impressive! Have been a Corvette gal forever but my 2002 Vette convertible was wearing out at 175,000 miles. I really wanted a hard top convertible and randomly found this 2007 Lexus SC430 with only 49,000 miles. Very clean, garage kept, Florida car. Gray (not my choice but very sharp) exterior with saddle interior seats with Mark Levinson audio and bluetooth. Smooth running and responsive, loves the road!

Downside is the speakers do rattle, I've been reading posts on how to correct. Love having my tunes on while driving. Right now the bass is almost off and they still make noise.

Speaker fix is dead easy , the foams rot and perish over time buy a repair kit and replace the foam surrounds and you are going to be blown away by the sound. Did both my front speakers in less than two hours .
