Out of about 25 Lexus sc430s for sale in the uk ,there were only 2 that had been converted to run on LPG .
As luck would have it one was only a 15 minute drive from where I live , I went and bought it .
I think the conversion would cost around £1600 .
If the installer has done a good job and knows his stuff it should run the same on LPG or petrol with no difference in power.
Fuel is so expensive in the uk ,£1.28 litre .
Lot is getting a lot more popular over here mainly due to Europeans coming here to live as its very popular in Europe .
200 miles for around £25 is very good in such a big engined car .
i will sort some photos out for anyone interested , how would I upload them ?

Welcome!
LPG? I have heard it burns a lot cleaner than petrol and you can put on many more miles between oil changes.
And the cleaner burning fuel may also help your engine last longer.
The easiest way I have found to upload pictures is to copy the files into a folder named Lexus on my computer.
Then click in the Go Advanced button in the lower middle in a Reply to Thread.
A new dialogue box will open. Click on the Manage Attachments button, bottom left.
Another dialogue box will open, click on Browse Your Device, and find your file.
Wait for it to load 100%, type in a description, and then hit Upload.
Good luck!

Hello All,
We finally found the perfect SC430 after looking for a couple weeks and drooling over them for about 17 years. We ended up with:
2002 SC430 w/Nav, ML stereo, rear spoiler
One previous owner
59,500 miles, excellent condition!
Egyptian Sand Pearl w/ Ecru leather interior
No mods - completely stock - but I will be taking out the audio head unit and putting in a Sony with Apple CarPlay (though I plan to keep the Nav intact).
We considered several other similar-sized convertibles, but kept coming back to this. And now that we have it, we could not be happier - this car is a dream to drive. Although, I already have a couple projects to do: 1) swap out the audio head unit as mentioned, 2) change the trunk struts as I've already been bonked on the head, 3) fix or replace the ML passenger door main speaker as it sounds blown/damaged.
Not my first Lexus as I did buy a new 2000 RX300 that my son still drives today when he's home from school, and I also bought an '02 IS300 Sportcross back in '04 which I enjoyed for about 150,000 miles, so I'm well aware of Lexus quality.
Looking forward to learning all about the SC430 from this group!
-Paul

New owner
Good morning from Virginia,
I'm a new owner of an excellent, well-maintained second-hand Millennium Silver SC 430 (my first Lexus) with 114500 miles currently under the hood. I enjoy driving this car tremendously. As such, after a mere 2 months, I'm putting refining touch on the car: Viper remote start with app access; Navtool with backup camera and wireless phone-mirroring option; and other small details to make the ride even more fun. I'm looking forward to years of ownership, as I'm a faithful fan of Toyota quality.
So glad I found this forum with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Kate, do I pick up from that picture that your car doesn't have a spoiler?
BTW, there is a forum for selling items and cars within ClubLexus. It is recommended that you utilize that forum rather than this one.
Also, welcome to the forum. It looks like you have a nice one. Why have you decided to sell it?
