I believe that a couple of threads have covered replacing the lights with LEDs and have been successful.

Yep LEDs are the only way to go...ijdmtoy dot com is one company. Check out this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...placement.html
They're great for all the interior lights, I changed all mine.

I believe the vanity lights are for the wife's make up mirror! Anyway, I looked at that site earlier and I'm still trying to figure out all the LED lighting in my 2003 SC. Maybe later tonight or tomorrow I will use the search function and try to figure out exactly what I need for each light in the vehichle. I will use VVTiBob's advise and check out the sylvania website for part number comparison, etc.

Yep, 12 counting the two mirror lamps. Ooops I forgot some. Two scuff plate lamps.. but they're seal inside the housing and not replaceable as far as I know, and the four seat belt receiver mechanism lamps are LEDs already. Same for the ignition key lamp.
And the Sylvania site with gives you the correct incandescent type or bulb number, then find the equivalent LED from which ever vendor you choose to you use. There are many vendors and many varieties of LED, color, intensity etc etc.

Jersey... if you mean the footwell lights driver and passenger side. Yes I did change them out..If I remember correctly they were"37".
theodor that exactly what i bought... works for everything but visor and footwells due to multiple connectors in the box. The six LED really improve the brightness in passenger compartment, and nicely illuminate the ground as you open the door.
In the trunk they're brighter too, but because the fixture is shallow the LEDs are not diffused so you can see the outline of the LEDs. Looks like six bright dots.... sort resembles the six side of one die of a pair of dice.
