Imported a 2006 SC430 to Europe - GPS & info questions
Hey everybody, my first post at ClubLexus.com!
I recently imported a 2006 SC430 from US to Europe and I've got two problems that seem pretty difficult to solve.
1. The information panel (centre console) show miles/mpg instead of km/metric values even after i've set the GPS settings to metric. The LCD displays are "international" and contain metric values so this should be a programming issue.
2. The GPS is not working and Lexus Sweden tells me that a change of DVD's won't make a difference since it's hardware locked to the US. What parts do I need do change? Is my GPS a Denso Gen 4 being a 2006 model?
Any help very appreciated!

Om du inte hittar en fix genom Lexus, jag har en kompis som bor i Landskrona, utanför Malmö som är killen som gör omvandlingar för SAAB så att EU-bilar kan importeras till USA för soldater efter turen. Trots att han var tekniskt en SAAB rep, handtag han de flesta större märken, GPS är ett vanligt problem. PM mig och jag kommer att göra introduktioner.

Yes, your SC430 have a Gen 4 GPS.
I have an Imported US SC430 too. I have 2 discs, one north EUROPE, and one for south EUROPE, but this is for GEN 3 Lexus NAV.
My wife has an imported LEXUS RX400h, and it has US Gen4 Navigation System.
I have 5 disks for this Nav. One system disk, and 4 MAP Disk.
You must insert the system disk first (changes the US DVD software to European software), and after that you can use the European disks.
If the car loses the power (battery change, etc.) you must insert the system disk once again.
