I just had a torubling evening...after driving home on a beautiful evening, I tried to close my top but the trunk lid got stuck in the "upright" position (adfter the roof closed). A call to Lexus roadside told me to "force it closed" even though it will feel like I am "breaking it".

I did as I was told and it seemed to work (the lid is down - I'm just afraid to test roof until I can "do it" in the dealers lot!)

Has anyone else had this happen to them? I really appreciate the reliability of Lexus so this really had me freaked. Yikes.

 

Oh yeah that would freak me out too.. I'd leave it alone till I could bring it in if possible.. Roof as been good to me so far but let us know what if anything you find out!

 

i think DropTop430 (i think thats his name) had a similar problem with his top getting stuck. try giving him a pm and maybe he can give you some info on his situation.

 

I did have a problem like that. Top just went straight up, it was is its normal position, but it was 6 feet in the air, it released at the front and the back. I had it towed on a flatbed to the dealer, they were not too happy that it sat on the bed for an hour with everyone saying, is that the new SC, why is the top like that? But I have not had a problem since and the dealer just reset the top...
