Default Hot Seats= Sweaty Back

I was thinking the other day as my back was sweating buckets all over my black leather seats in my SC430, why on earth are there no air conditioned seats on my car.

I think for a car costing $100 000 (CDN) my seats should be cold when I want them cold and hot when I want them hot. The LS430 has them as do several other cars in that price range...

Anyone else out there think that this should be standard on the car and at the very least optional. I know that it might need a different type of leather, one that is more porous but nothing is worse then driving with the top down and having you back get hot.....Just my opinion but I would have very much appreciated this feature...

DT430,

Yup one of my pet peeves as well.. Send Lexus Canada an email via www.lexus.ca and hopefully along with my complaint and i'm sure a few others it will happen on the car at some point.. While we are at it the massage feature would be cool too..

Also if and when you send that email off to Lexus Canada ask them if they have any photos of the SC430 or any of the other Lexus vehicles that you can have to frame for your office or home.. I asked months ago and Customer Service was nice enough to send me 2 beautiful photos of a Silver IS and Silver RX which I framed for my office.. They are a bit larger than 11" X 14" in size and look really nice..

Lexus should have these, the MB CL500,600,55 have something like 5 or 7 fans inside the seats to move air, not AC but not bad.

Just drape a towel on the seat. Easier, cheaper and it works.

Default sweaty seats

lambswool seat covers might help - have them on a Subaru, very comfortable. Got the car used though, so don't know where they came from. Anyone know of a source for SC430 - summer is here !!

Lightbulb SHEEP SKIN SEAT COVERS

Had the Dealer install a set on my '01 BMW 330 CI Convertible, and never once took 'em off the entire year that I had it. Drove it all the way to the BMW Performance Center in Spartansburg, S. C., and they were such a Nice Suprise!

Toasty Warm on those Cool Winter Morning runs to Town with the Top Stowed, and yet Cool even on the Warmest of Summer / Fall Days down in S. C. Loved 'em so much that I never dId take them off, untill I sold it, than cleaned, folded them, and stored them in the Trunk, with about a thousand After-Market Accessories for the 330 CI. ("The Difference Between Men And Boys, Are The Price We Pay For Our Toys!" )

They really looked High Class, like what you'd expect for BMW / Mercedes. Paid High Dollar for them ($500.00 +/-), as they were made from 'Ugly Sheep', on an Austrailian Out-Back Farm ("Virgin Wool!" ), but always caused the Heads to rotate........especially out in the country roads when passing a farm that raised...........

Be sure to get the 'Real Thing', Custom-Made for the Lexus SC 430 from Australia, if you can. Expect to Pay a Premium, but 'rest 'assured that you'll be "Lookin' Good, and Feelin' Fine" all the way down the line!
