Maybe on one of those old British convertibles like an MG, but not on an Sc.

I guess it must be pretty hot in Az, this time of year, or maybe it's from prior heat spells. G-spiders are to bad either, but that's just me.
I guess IstoSC should have said sis, not bro.

Surprised the dislike but I love them too. Prefer 17" or 16" with knobby tires (45-65)

I called Dayton Wire Wheels & they said they no longer sell it for SC 430 in any size. He did not provide an explanation on why. In fact, he sounded quite rude over the phone.

So, did anyone install it or have seen a pic? Apart from cleaning, is there any other disadvantages?

I have Dayton wire wheels on my jaguar. I like them a lot on that car, but again it is that classic British look. These are not like wire wheels used to be. They are just like any other wheel, just harder to clean. The factory wire wheels on the 1970 MGB I had leaked slowly. They would leak around the spokes. I would have to ad air once a week 2-3 pounds.

When it comes to personal taste. Do what you like. It doesn't matter whether the majority likes it. It is your opportunity to be you. I don't scoff at others mods even if I personally wouldn't do it. I can really appreciate different ideas. It inspires others to do unique mods. If everyone does the same mods with the same kits, how boring. If you like it go for it. If your not sure; it's a lot of money to end up not liking it.

That's very nice & matured of you. That's why I always respect your advice. I'm looking for feedback on practical use & disadvantages, if any. Some of them you mentioned were not good quality as it used to be & air leaking. That is enough to put me off.

I don't like to blow unnecessary money. I believe in doing the right thing, when the opportunity arises. One of my wheel cracked & I'm due for tire replacement. Looking for a comfy ride (45+ instead of standard 40 tires) & a classy look.

SC 430 has curves similar to Porsche 356 & Maserati A6GCS to some extent. I also like the leather strap on some of the 356s & looks very cool. Check it out.

Actually I was saying that the wire wheels now a days are much better. It was the factory wire wheels on my 70 MGB that would slowly leak. I have had no problems with my Dayton wheels on my jaguar. I would buy them again for my jag. Oh the other down side other than cleaning is the are heavy.

Oh OK. Dayton no longer makes it for SC 430 in any size. And as I'd mentioned earlier, they were very rude to talk to. It appears Ruote Borrani is another wired wheel manufacturer. I've reached out to them if they can make it in 16-17x7.
