will this work with my 2007 sc430? (it says it works for 2004-2010 SC's but it seems to good to be true for sucha low price)
what features will it allow me to use?
will i have control from my steering wheel or my stereo? or only from my ipod?
for only $40 + 10 shipping it seems like a hell of a deal.
what you guys think?

dh-I would stay away...looks very cheap and generic-especially for the coolest SC ever made! There are plenty of decent deals on the Vais group buy and eBay for the SL2I unit which would work in yours. Soundgate, Grom and Vais...Parrott too.

IStoSC-the only one you can do is aux cable. I know...I tried with my 2002. I believe that someone else posted about a Parrott working too with BT? Try searching I saw it a while back. I believe that SL Vais www.vaistech.com is the only one. Contact those guys and they will tell you. No steering wheel controls and no text, just aux for ipod.

dh784123-I am probably going to order the SL2I-UP from vais tech for $215 and have it installed at Park Place Lexus in Plano, Tx. They sell them there too for $600 installed, and I believe I will be able to save with the install separately.

scdroptop, are you saying that the Parrot won't work or just that you don't know for sure? (I was getting interested in it after reading the thread a few days ago.)

 

Not at all, harold57, just that the vais unit seems to have some dealer support locally and I feel more comfortable having them install it. My personal preference.

You and IStoSC will have similar limitations with what you guys can use due to the nav systems being different on your 2002's. I know for sure the SLU will work for you guys because when I had my 02 earlier this summer I looked into it. Same thing with my 2002 that you guys may want to consider in your cities: If a dealer sells them or can install it would be MUCH better than having some hacker at your local category killer electronics store work on our SC's! Based on what I've searched on the internet, the VAIS seems to have a lot of support whereas you don't see as much for the others, although I know CL members have reported great success with the Parrott and the Soundgate for other year cars.
