Has anyone use this thing? Does it work? From the comments looks like it does. Your thought?

I'm not familiar with the product and couldn't find any independent reviews on it. The reviews on their website could be real or could be fabricated. It's cheap enough to buy and experiment/play with though. Go for it.

Weren't there a bunch of those type devices sold years ago that were basically a resistor across two pins of the OBD2 that tried to fool the car into running a bit lean?
I remember claims or 15% better gas mileage and even 20% more horsepower.
Pretty sure the general consensus was it didn't work.

I can't speak to that product but since the 80's those fuel savors products have been shown to be snake oil.

If these devices work to a small degree by tweaking the ECU to run the engine leaner, it would not be worth the risk. Running leaner will make the engine run hotter and at greater risk of detonation. The anti-knock sensors would then tell the ECU to prevent detonation by retarding timing which in turn would degrade mileage and HP. If there were any magic bullets, the engine designers would already be using them. This device belongs in the Hall of Shame (or Sham), sitting on the shelf with the Tornado Vortex and Gas Magnets!
