Default Hole in window tint

Enjoying my "new" 02 sc430 and noticed some small tears in the rear window tinting. I think it was from the car wash guys cleaning the interior.
Any window tint experts out there with a recommendation how to fix it?
One idea is to cut out the tears, creating about a 2 inch by 1/2 inch small rectangle, and placing a small tint patch. I think it is 35% tint.
Another: have expert remove and retint window, but worried about the defrost and even if this is possible.
third: ignore it, drive with top down. Not easy next few months in NJ...

Ideas?

i'd just have it redone. the rear defrost isn't a problem.

Over all it would be better to have the tint on the rear window replaced all together than trying to patch it. Once patched it will in fact look patched, and will in fact look, terrible. I'm originally from the Northeast as well so I know how cold it will get. I wouldn't ignore it. It can't cost more than $50 maybe $60 to replace such a small area.

It takes like what 20, 30 minutes tops to thoroughly wash the exterior of a car, including wax/grease/grime remover pre-wash stuff along the bottom edges of the car? I never understood why people choose to go through those auto car washes. They do so much damage

I'm a fan of hand washing cars. it makes you appreciate what you're driving, more or less what you own, and why you love it.

There is only one problem with washung it and getting it clean . I tend to want to wax it and then I wont use the car because I dont want to get it dirty . There for since its my weekend toy I only use it on good weather weekends and never in the winter.

Its like a Zen riddle If i wash the car it will get dirty and then I will have to clean it again . I sure do love driving it when the weather is good

you have to think of it as very sexy girlfriend, she cleans up nice and loves to be pretty, but she loves to get dirty. If I had a four-wheeled girlfriend like that. I'd barely sleep, it would be a dirty weekend every weekend.
