In all seriousness, I am not making this up due to boredom.

My SC430 has been behaving fine until today, when it began to make funny noises every now and then.

I am still trying to figure out a proper way to describe the noises but imagine the sound that an old wiper blade makes on rainy days.

This sound is literally coming out of my dashboard and each time when it comes up, it lasts for less than a second and instantly goes away, as if there's a tiny creature living inside my instrument cluster.

Is this normal for the SC430 at all? I have a late 03' production car.

Mine just made the noise for the first time today. It only seems to do it when the car is just started. I stopped the Nav screen from opening and the noise seemed to stop. Hopefully it's just a squeaky Nav cover.

It made the noise again with the Nav cover inactive. Now, I am thinking it's the ventilation system.

It's weird, as my car's been making this noise just today.

I have no idea where my sound's actually coming from. I am a horrible witness to testify to hearing and perceptions. But to the best of my ability, it's sounded like ooooo.... weeeee! It's as if it's trying to talk to me or something... Arrrgh.

It only happens when I park the car or when I am about to start driving from a standstill position with ignition in the "on" position.
