CD player doesn't like burned CDs
I have an 04 SC430 and have problems listening to burned CDs. I use Nero to create the CD copies and get a lot of skipping.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Thanks,

I purchase CD-R's based on the whatever's-on-sale method (Memorex, Kingston, etc) and have never had a problem.
While I haven't noticed a difference between the quality of the burn based on the program used (I've used Nero in the past as well as Real Player's burner) I have seen a difference when varying the SPEED at which they're burned. Even though they may be "52X rated" CD's, I found it works better if you back it down to like 4X or so.
I'd suggest you try that, at least to experiment.

I use Nero also and I had the same problem. I was using some cheap media from Ebay and when I upgraded to a name brand media like Memorex I never had the problem again. Just don't put the paper labels on as they will jam up the changer. I bought a LightScribe burner and now just burn the song titles right on the CD.

I recommend slowing down the burn/write speed. It can also be the process you are using to burn. Either its burning files directly from the computer or copying the CDs (on-the-fly) or running other application in the background during the burning process will effect the outcome.
