Little known tips/tricks for the SC430
How about a thread of something cool you learned about the SC430 which surprised you, either because it wasn't in the manual at all or just not covered very well. A tip or trick which you stumbled upon.
For me, it was that the factory voice command can operate my Sirius aftermarket satellite radio (e.g. saying "Satellite radio two" -- turns on the satellite radio to the second bank of channels and the nav lady repeats it back)
Any other tips, shortcuts or other little things that you stumbled upon that the rest of us might not know?

Open Your Back Window While The Top Is Up. I Do That By Tapping The Open Button Very Fast 8 Times And It Opens The Window Without The Top. But When I Hold The Button Down The Trunk Tilts Up First Then The Windows Go Down

Is that right? I didn't know that. I'll have to give that a try. Wonder if that's going to screw up the sequence? Hmmmm. Anybody else experience that?
And I thought I knew everything...(-:

I know I had to buy a module to plug into my luxlink and I can open my rear windows. Ive never heard of being able to open them another way. I could have saved my money on the module. I dont think that pushing the oepn top button 8 times will open the rear 1/4 windows. THeres no info about it in the manual either. If it works all the sc430 owners will be greatful since noone ever know about this tip. Any one confirm this?

ok. a couple things i noticed after trying it.
1. YES IT WORKS. however there are some issues...
2. when the windows are down, you cant use your auto windows. meaning, you have to hold the window switch to roll your windows all the way up/down.
3. if you put the windows down, and take the key out and step outside, when you try to use the key to roll the windows up (by inserting key in driver door and turning and holding to lock position), it wont roll up.
4. the red light above the open/close top button stays on. im guessing because its reading that the close function hasnt completed its cycle by rolling up the windows. not sure if that would affect driving (if it reads that you havent completely closed the trunk, it will continue to beep as you drive)
5. its kind of tricky to roll the windows down without having the trunk open. i might even say its impossible. you have to roll them down inch by inch and then try to tap the close button very slightly to close the trunk. took me a couple tries.
all in all, this is pretty cool. i always wanted to open those windows, and now i guess i can. there are some issues with it though, and its up to every driver to decide if its worth it.
