Some chain shops will not touch cars with spacers, bolt on or not. Never ran into one that would not do an alignment however due to spacers.

Are spacers an EZ install? i mean can some1 do this mod themselves or is it necessary to go have it done @ a tire/rim place? and if u do have to go to the professional what would one expect to pay? thks in advance for any replys.

Some are just bolt on. Others require the removal of existing studs and replacement with longer studs. Generally, the thickness of the spacer is what determines what you have to do. The method of removing existing studs is somewhat controversial. You can bang them out with a small sledgehammer or press them out gently. The issue is that banging is bad for your wheel bearings. Pressing them out can, sometimes, be done on the car. Other times you have to remove the hub to have the new studs pressed out and the new ones pressed on.

I just finished installing some H&R spacers on my 2004 SC430 with stock wheels and stock suspension.

After some measuring I decided to go 15mm front and 30mm rear.
The look is much better. Tire distance to the fender is now the same front and rear (within 1mm). I'm very happy with the result

See the pictures before and after...

All,

I just bought and mounted '07 OEM wheels on my car and clearly need to modify the cars stance. I am considering buying the following:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HUBCE...#ht_5068wt_993

ANy reason why I should go with the H&R, ICHIBA, or any other branded spacer rather than these which are half the price?

These are holding your wheels to the car.... I wouldn't trust any "no brand" spacers!

Go with the best and you'll never regret it.

BTW, 30mm is too wide for the front...

Yes these are cheaper and they may work fine for you. I would be more interested in who makes them as has been stated by the last post. You are putting your wheels and life on the line if these are not a quality spacer. I have H&R spacers and have not had any issues with them. As far as fitment, I have found the best stance is with 25mm front and 30mm rear. No rubbing with OEM rims either. Let us know how you make out!

+1, I wouldn't skimp on something that would put your life in danger if it fails.

JM2C:

The spacers as long as they are designed right should work.

1. Key would be the hubcentric surfaces, as long as they are accurate and hug the OEM hubs and your wheel, they are good. This is the key to center your wheel on the hub.

2. The Bolts, as long as they are rated to carry the load, they should be good.

The load is actually transferred to the car via friction, hence the right torque is the key. As long as the spacer transfers the load through friction, you are good to go.

Hence I usually ask people who have used the spacers for reviews.

The costs I have seen were $180 for a set, the name brand ones. These ones are half the cost. 2 for 1. Very tempting.

Well let's get this thread back up and running again.

Been looking at getting these specific spacers. Deciding on 25 fronts and 38 back. But perhaps 38 in the back is too much?

25 and 30?

These spacers are hubcentric on 2 sides. One side it matches with your hub and the other side matches your hub in your wheel. And as long as they are designed properly, there should not be issues.

Question is has anybody purchased from this vendor?

I am running 25 and 30 and I think it is perfect!
The spacers look the same as the H&R ones but the question is the materials used in the spacer as good? If you get these please let us know how they do!

I want to go higher than 30 on the rears. I see 32,35 and 38 as options. the fronts will be perfect with 25.
