So MN is a cold place to live and as it gets colder day by day, i have realized that a remote start application in my sc would be a great xmas gift to myself. Obviously, luxlink exists and seems to do a good job with the remote start and remote top for the convertible. My question is if i could have the same functions on a aftermarket one bought from any electronics store. All would provide remote start but how about remote top down/up. I dont care about having the extra key (it actually would be better than the 100 ft from the oem key).

Let me know if any of you have been successful in getting a generic remote start/security system to also controll the windows and convertible. Thanks
