Black/Saddle
Black/Camel
Matador/Camel.

Any suggestions?
Matador red/Ecru is the most striking, it is what we got. It turns heads everywhere, even make people in much higher end cars stare at it.

And if you pay attention, the latest Lexus show cars at major car shows have that color combo, LF-A roadster, IS350C. You know that color is good if they picked it for their show car.

So you put some GS4 OEM 17" wheels on your 03' GS3?

I own both an 04 LS and 02 SC and one thing I can tell you is they are two totally diff. cars is trems of ride, handling, acceleration, braking you name it, keep in mind they target two vastly different audiences, lifestyles, mindsets, practicalities......and the lists goes on. But a very wise choice on your part to buy an LS.....and you're right it will be a classic, as will the SC!
You are mistaken about Jimmer, he was talking about the SC430, he owns a SC430, not a LS430.

Most owners here love that fact, as most people here bought their SC430 used.

That fact makes the SC430 twice as attractive, a beautiful perfect highend convertible with a down to earth used price. I for one can't afford the new MSRP.

My favourite is Twilight Amethyst Pearl , second favorite Indigo Ink Pearl, both gorgeous paint and relatively rare. Former with ecru or saddle, latter with ecru for me ...
Indigo Ink no longer available for 06+ though, replaced by the Blue Onyx, a darker metallic blue, while very nice (looks great on the LS460), I like the Indigo Ink more for the SC430.

I also like the Matador Red paint too, I prefer it over the Absolutely Red paint it replaced.

I really never thought about that but now that I think of it, I bet it's very attractive. Do you have any pics?

And yes, I did swap wheels on my car. I wanted something a tad larger with the OEM look, while not sacrificing ride or gas mileage. Overall it worked out perfectly

As long as it's clean, nothing better than black/saddle. It's never out of style and always presents a striking contrast. They pick black at car shows also, silver is right up there because they can bounce the lighting off it, very shiney presentation.

I can afford new, but you're right, buy a three year old SC and invest the difference. No one knows the year of your car unless they ask, why waste money? If you're a down to earth type of person, why not pay a down to earth price? I would never buy new, since there are always great deals on used to be had!

To me, the only differences between new and used is a few stone chips or scratches, it doesn't worth $35k for sure.

I believe doesn't matter how rich I become, I would never buy new, let's say I can afford a $70k new SC430, but I would rather have a slightly used Bentley Continental GT for $70k. Or if I can afford a new Continental GT for $160k, I rather have a slightly used Rolls Royce Phantom coupe....etc...etc.

Until I can afford the most expensive things in the world, like private jet, private island in the caribbean.......I think I will always buy used.
