I have the Scangage2 (small one) on my Miata and I used it to scan the intake air temperature on the SC on different modes. Great investment for $150.

Here's mine finally done. Not that I am waiting for something to happen...

I dropped a wire down to the holes and then soldered.

Hi guys. I just had my right upper ball joint replaced and my VSC, VSC OFF, and ABS lights are all on. I didn't see mention in this thread about the ABS light. I suppose it shouldn't hurt for me to give this a try (also not mentioned in this thread, but another thread indicated that a paperclip should work). If anyone thinks I'm wasting my time and I likely have some other issue, please advise. Thanks!

Same exact thing happened to me after I got my brakes done (front rotors turned, new pads x 4, alignment).

Still working through the issue, as it left the shop with no lights, but 50 miles later they all popped on.

Did your power steering go out as well? I am getting my PS replaced, as well as my a/c (compressor + condensor) as that was already going out before these lights came on.

Frustrating to say the least.

Should also mention, I tried the VSC reset to no avail. Also tried a new skid ECU replacement that the dealer say didn't work. Have a new one coming in today going to get it installed at the dealer. Dealer said they put in a donor skid control ECU and the lights went away and everything worked. I am suspect of this, but we will see.

The only potential culprit would that the ABS wires have been compromised. I have read in another post that this could be the source of this ABS and VSC lights.

On the SC430, driver side, under left side of the dash.

If you were seated in the drivers seat, it would be in front of your left leg under the dash. I can touch it when I am in the seated position.

Just look under there...do you know what it looks like?
If not, Google OBDII and go to images.

Thanks hsujohn for step by step on taking out the vsc light. Thanks to bgw70 for the location of obdII. For all that are looking to d I this please note that this obdII is very small and as bgw70 told me , it sits almost above your left leg when you are sitting in the seat. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Default Perfect. Nice work, thank you!

1. Make sure the ignition (key) is in the off position.

2. Locate DLC3 connector (under the drivers side dash) and jump terminals ts and cg. (use old wires lying around).

3. Turn ignition to the on position (do not start vehicle).

4. VSC warning light will turn out for 4 seconds then start to flash.

5. Once the light starts flashing for a few seconds, turn the ignition off and remove jumper wires.

it took me forever to find the proper reset procedure for my 03 highlander.
I checked the air filter and didn't realize I pulled off a vaccum hose. The next day the check engine light and the VSC light were on.
found the problem, plugged the hose back in and cleared the codes. But the VSC light remained on and came on as soon as the vehicle would roll a foot or two. I tried all the other (incorrect) ways of resetting the light.
this is the only way it worked and it was the easiest amd fastest. Thank you very much for your time and knowledge.

I confirm that the procedure above with TS-CG jumperwire image worked with 2005 SC to reset the VSC light.

The OBD2 is for gasoline vehicles produced in Europe and America after 2004 and OBD2 gasoline vehicles produced in other regions after 2008. The same OBD2 device works well on 2009 Lexus (made in Canada) but on 2005 Lexus (made in Japan) it set VSC off. Be considerate about what you plug in.

Some OBD2 devices are not compatible with:
1. European / American cars manufacture before 2004 and Asian cars manufactured before 2008.
2. American cars manufacture Dodge, jeep,Chrysler, Chevrolet and all cars before 2004;
3. France cars manufacture FAT, DS, PEUGEOT, Citroen, Renault ,Simca and so on.
4. Japanese cars manufacture SUZUKI, Subaru, MAZDA (MAZDA 6), Infiniti (QX50 q50 q501), Lexus (is250,ex250,ES300H), Toyota (HIACE, RAV4), Honda (jazz, CRV) and all cars before 2008.
5. Germany cars manufacture Volkswagen (Santana3000).
6. Korean cars manufacture KIA, Hyundai some models.
7. Gas and electric hybrid, diesel powered car, Pickup, SUV, ORV.

the 2006-2010 SC430 does not have this problem because they switched to the CAN Bus and code readers or TechStream will not set off the VSC light.
