Last SC with red interior looked cheesy IMO, just like Corvettes. I had a silver BMW convertible with red interior, and it look great, because only seats and door inserts were red; everything else was black. The new PB needs to be like that. What I didn't like about my BMW was the wood color: NOTHING matches, other than black, unfortunately. Aluminum would, I guess, but doesn't go with the SC.
That red BMW interior grew on me, but I'm not a big fan of it either, especially on a luxury car. Anything more than seats and door inserts, and it's off my list. We'll see soon enough, I guess. Later guys.

What if they did dark red. Remember the MR2 Spyder in 04 they had a phantom grey with dark red interior it looked good the combo was actually more attractive than the black red of the 05 PBE which i still liked.

Heres a pic of the phantom grey on dark red. Sorry there are no intrior photos but this at least shows the interior color on the roof. This would be a great color combo for the SC430.

dark red is nice, i like the kind of burgundy red on the m3 myself. i think it would look pretty nice on the sc430 as well. indeed i tried to "imagine" that color on white sc430.

'Red' BMW interiors have always been more burgundy than red indeed, and that was exactly the red I was referring to. The red in Corvettes looks awful. But the worst offense of all is red carpet (yikes!). Hope Lexus does it right this time (seats and door inserts).

I checked with Sherwin-Williams Automotive, the manufacturer of "Starfire Pearl" , paint code 077 today.

Simply stated, the new 2007 SC 430 Pebble Beach Edition will be a WHITE* PEARL exterior with red leather upholstery and black floor mats (with red PBE logo).

* According to Sherwin Williams Automotive, the base coat for Lexus Color Code 077 (S-W#77842) will consist of the following color mixture, measured in grams:

WHITE 600 g
Violet 5 g
Blue 4 g
Yellow 1 g
Black 1 g
____

TOTAL 611 grams (or 98.2% WHITE base coat)

I think just black "floormats" is still not good enough, they should use black for the entire carpet areas . . .

Will post a pic of my 2004 Soarer as soon as the sun comes up. (It's a rainy season here in Tokyo). It's Cosmo Silver with Red leather and carpet. Bought it because I loved the ext. color but red seats and carpet... didn't really like it at first, but it kinda grows on you.

Cheers,
Jason
