i would expect major changes until at least MY 2008. Lexusnt would do an facelift for 2006 if they were to completly change the car in 2007...

Most likely in 08 as an 09 model.

I would guess spring of 2008 as an early 09 model would be a strong possibility for a totally new design.

We need one more year for this design, and it gets a re-design.

Heres Toyota's 5-year design plan

I'm starting with teh Gen 5 Camry

2002 Gen 5

2003Gen 5

2004 Gen 5

2005Gen 5.5

2006Gen 5.5

2007 Gen 6

Default The Lexus engineers were here recently..

gathering information for development of the next gen SC430. It will be at least three years until the new model arrives. No one knows what powertrain it will use but it will have the new dual VVT-i and probably direct injection. My guess is a ten speed transmission JK. Since they just started the process let them know what you want......Early in the development of the 2nd gen SC we were told that there would be a fixed roof 6 cylinder. It never made it but now that we have this nice 3.5 V6 in the IS and GS '07 maybe that idea will come to fruition. There probably will not be enough room for a hybrid battery and CVT but those ingenius Lexus designers might find a way. We are supposed to see a convertible version of the IS sometime in the next two years too. This would mirror the 3 series convertible and Z series and SLK too. Coupes and Convertibles are sexy and they are fun. Lexy can be sexy too.

Default 3 More Years ??!!!

Shucks !! I'm actually itching to buy a new SC

Well, if it's indeed 3 more years, then the new redesigned one should definitely be a SC500 using the new 5.0 litre V8 on the LS600h. Maybe they should upgrade the current one to SC460 next year too ?

we will see, like i said i am not sure how easy (or hard) it's for lexus to stick the new 4.6L engine with the 8 speed tranny on the current sc chassis. when the car was designed back then i am sure they didn't know much about the new engine yet. heck, look at the 3gs, seems like it also has problem with the new 4.6L engine

and back to sc500, it depends on lexus intention. but with another 3 yrs, i wouldn't be surprisd
