Wink SC 430 performance mods?

I just purchased an 02 SC 430 and I would add an exhaust and a cold air intake system. Anybody have any suggestions? THANKS for the help!!!!
Happy Holidays to all, Vinny

Hello and welcome aboard

Most significant performance mods are:

Torque Converter: Launches hard off of line, faster shift kickdown, more responsive

SRT intake/ECU, intake will fit, heat shield will not, custom make one. At least 20hp and 20lb of tq. SRT claims more . I am being a bit conservative. I will know more when I dyno this week or next.

Exhaust-many prefer Blitz TT exhaust. $$$$$ but well made. Looks good. Do a search on pics. HP?? Who knows. maybe none. Maybe 5-10hp. Sound is good though mellow. One on Ebay right now.

LSD/3.76 gears. From a Supra TT Auto. This LSD combined with the lower gears will really help launch the car at the expense of gas mileage of around 2-3 mpg. Utilized with the TC and you have a deadly combo from the line.

Headers-Up in the air and dynos with NA cars are non existent or long promised. I will know more once I install and dyno again.

Good tuneup. Make sure plugs are good. Synthetic oil will help a little.

daizen sway bars
polyurethane suspension bushing
Tein coilovers
light weight wheels such as SSR and Goodyear F1 tires

exhausts usually dont give significant additional horses, but they do help to lose some weight.

light weight wheel/tire lose 64 lbs
exhaust lose 40 lbs?
remove spare lose 30 lbs?
daizen sway lose 10 lbs?
header/ exhaust gain 20 horses
torque converter/ LSD

coilovers and sways a few mph on slalom and 0.1 g improvement?

you might gain 0.5-1.0 seconds from 0-60??

if you do all the above, it will cost you ~ 10k. that's expensive for small gains.
just my guesstimate. maybe someone can confirm for me

Woot WOot! I won the exhaust on ebay its about $600 shipped, where should I get that intake/ecu?

On a side note getting an intake and exhaust improve mileage right I always give that excuse when hooking up my car

As for the intake,I think you can get it from Swift Racing Technologies? Let me know how you make out with the exhaust.(I hope UPS doesn't crush it like it did my Charger quarter panels)
