Default I got new tires.

Hello,

After 19,700 miles, I replaced the factory runflats today.

Based solely on feedback from SC430 owners whom have posted recommendations in this forum, I went with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S.

I have only driven the car a few miles so far, but what a difference these tires make! The ride is so different (and better), that I wish I would have replaced the factory runflats 19,700 miles ago.

If any of you are still running your SC430 on the factory runflats, you are missing out on a great ride! The ride is much better than when the car was brand new.

When I first got this car, I thought I would let the runflats wear out first before switching, but after only a couple thousand miles, I can't stand it anymore after repeatedly reading about the difference it makes in this forum & switched to the pilot sports A/S . Good decision makes the car even more enjoyable !

congrats man, i can only imagine how much better the ride is... the RF are relaly stiff, even worse than my is300 in some sense i have to say...

i will just stick with the RF no matter what though, coz' i am going to get wheels later on any way, and i don't see myself dumping money on tires that i don't use for long. but for the time being... stiff stiff stiff

I replaced my run-flats and put a repair kit and pump in the truck. The tire man told me that most of the flats on these low profile tires are hitting a curb and the air leaks out. I can repair the tire quicker than I can change it. The pump is one that you charge electrically and it pumps air. I got it at a tractor supply place. The farmers use it all the time on tractors in the field and do their own rapair with a plug.

this looks like a nice option. 6.57" long, 3.66" wide, 6.18" tall. excellent reviews.

Since it took 5 years to get an answer, I doubt the original pump is still available

The pump for the tires is about $25. I got mine from Tractor's Supply. You can probably get them anywhere that sells car stuff.
