like i said it should also depends on what wheels you get. if you get wheels like carlson or so, yeah, they are super heavy and bbk are warranted. but some wheels they are pretty close to the weight of the stock wheels. in that sense, it's not bad at all

There is no point of changing wheels if u're staying with 18's. I would just stay with stock 18's.
See these 18's.......No good

well granted the stock sc wheels (the pie style, not the new 5 spoke style) look so bad, i think a nice set of 18s will indeed make it look better. but i agree that it still look too small for the car

if you decide to go with 18s i have a set of bbs rxii's with tires for $2000, they are 2 piece wheels, used for a month, then i got 19s..

with 18s and the right drop, will just look as good as 20s with no drop..

personally.. if i was going for performance, get 18s
if i was going for a show car, get 20s with an amazingly low drop

i thought the offset for the wheels on the old sc is too high for the sc430?

If you go with 19s and a non runflat tire, you'll get the best of a lot of worlds. You'll get a MUCH improved ride over the run craps. If you get a wheel such as HRE, you'll still save a lot of weight over stock 18s. You get a nicer look, and not compromise the performance of the car at all. Actually with the weight savings and softer grippier tires, you could possibly argue that the performance is enhanced as well as the ride. Stay away from L-Sportline wheels. Just my $.02!!!

From what I can remember, he bent all 4 of them simultaneously, hence he switched to HRE's.

BTW, for Henry, nothing smaller than 20's will do

My $.02 - stay away from Mili Migilas as well. Same problem with easy bending. Personal experience.

Default advise

I say go with 19's and fat tire set-up. Best of both worlds. Looks and ride comfort. 18's way too small for this car, slab sided panels too tall...they gobble up the wheels. 19's give you some performance, a great look, comfort and a little cheaper than dubs. Don't forget to stagger those wheels.

It is, those wheels will be really "inset" on the SC, will look like stock wheels do (kinda "knock-knee'd)
