I was wondering how tall you can be and still comfortably drive an SC430 without bumping your head on headliner with the top closed. I'm relatively short at 5' 8" and I feel like I only have about 2 " of clearance with the seat all the way down. When my taller friends get into the car it seems like they have to be shoehorned in. Of course no problems with the top down.
I'm 6' and don't have a problem at all... and I have the seat up pretty far. I do have the seat bottom all the way back as far as it will go though. As for the "shoehorning in," I don't have a problem but I did kick the parking brake when getting in a few times until I got used to it. That thing sticks out a little far, I think.
I have immensely enjoyed my first weekend with the car. The gods smiled on me and gave us nice weather too! I'm very happy with this purchase... not a single regret....
I'm getting the rims swapped out on Wednesday, which I can't wait for. I'm also going to look into the swaybar situation this week.
I think the problem is more on the reach side than height. I'm 5'10", and like previous posters, I don't have a problem on the height, but I have the seat all the way back (touching the rear seat). I just can't drive with my knees bent, but I guess most taller drivers don't mind supporting them by tilting the front of the seat cushion.
Make sure to drive one before you buy if you're a tall guy. And forget about a rear passenger behind you, but you already knew that, right?
