Today I opened my trunk after a week of snow. It’s still leaking water and I have the rear window rubber seal being shipped. This time though I saw a bunch of pine needles in the trunk pretty evenly spread across the trunk. (Parked near a spruce) I then noticed the third brake light with a big gap between the bottom of the light and the top of the trunk, and wondered if this might be the water ingress.
Can someone confirm it’s not supposed to be this big of a gap or if there’s a rubber gasket I should buy to replace? Or if it’s ok to seal with silicone or something?

Looks alright... you can stop the top folding process halfway and go around and clean / lubricate all of the sealing surfaces. I use a liquid Dupont teflon product. I know theres a Honda OEM rubber grease that's also highly recommended.

heres my gap:
Thanks for the pic! I’ll prob take it off to see what I can do and if it actually leaks.
I already used the grease you mentioned (Shin Etsu) but it looks like these 22 yr old seals were never conditioned prior and it’s past time to be replaced.
