Dash pad/cover
So another update on this, no new pics sorry. Finally got around to messing with this thing and got up the nerve to put self-stick Velcro on the dash. Seeing that the pad is tucked in between the dash and windshield I only put velcro on the outer edge of the dash. Started with a small piece on the far outside ends of the dash, and a pair at the transition of the hump and the flatter part above the steering wheel. Put the top down and went for a drive, when the wind catches it the long section in front of the passenger seat starts to flapping a bit which pulls the ends off the velcro so I put a couple more small pieces in that stretch to keep it from flapping which it did. So I have a total of 7 pieces of velcro on my dash that are about 1/2 x 3/4 inch long each. Didn't get much past 70 mph on the short drive to town to the car wash place (it needed it) but the pad seems nice and tight on there. It fits well, looks pretty good and I'm sure it will take care of the glare on my windshield which was the purpose of the pad in the first place.
Thanks for the update! I'm still on the fence. I keep my SC covered so I'm not really worried about preserving the dash, but, like you, I have issues with the glare. I'm looking at this dash cover vs buying polarized sun glasses.
Hmmm, never thought about that but I'm pretty sure the sunglasses I keep in the SC are polarized. I'll look next time I'm out.
