WTB: Paint Code-3K7 - Hood / Lid / Front Bumper
Hello,
I'm looking to buy the following,
1997+ Lexus SC300/SC400 - Hood - Front Bumper - Trunk Lid w/spoiler
With the paint code - 3K7 - Shadow Rose Quartz
The body parts must be in good shape, and have no paint issues. Light scratch or so is OK, just no clear coat/paint issues.
Please let me know what you got, cost and pictures.
Thank You,

I remember how long it took me to source an extra Platinum Metallic trunk lid with 92 style spoiler off an SC400... It was a long hunt and that color is MUCH less rare than the color you are looking for, which is somewhat of a unicorn color.
I would suggest to find parts in whatever color you can get and have them painted to match. I thought that buying an OEM painted trunk with same paint code would guarantee a color match but that was not the case, when I finally sourced one and put them side by side, the color of the new trunk was lighter than on my car because it was from the south and over 20+ years sun will change the tint of any paint and make it lighter than a similar northern car that was garaged. The trunk had no signs of respray, no clearcoat failure, we even measured the paint with a digital gauge and it was definitely the OEM paint. The color underneath the spoiler was a bit darker because that section was hidden from the sun so that tells you everything.
Moral of the story, it needed to be painted to match my car anyway so I thought I'd share that with you and possibly save you from searching for these parts for months of years on end.

Alright, thanks for your response. I'm probaly just going to give in and bite the bullet. The body parts on my car are fine, just paint sucks, and clear coat given out.
Assuming even if I sold the car on a loss due to the paint, I'd end up buying another one anyways, so I guess I'll just drop the bills.
