If it doesn't work at all, check your fuses. I sold an SC that had a dead fuel gauge reader (rest of the cluster worked great). Turned out the person that purchased the car from me told me "oh yeah, it was just a fuse." SMH...

Whoever that was buddy , he is full of it or he was pulling your legs .

Based on the wiring diagram the fuel gauge does not have a separate fuse, all the gauges on the cluster share same power supply which means if the fuel gauge do not have power all the gauges would not have power.

Looking at the diagram ( lower left) , wiring from fuel sender goes to the gauge without a fuse in between.

I would rather have a fuel gauge not work then have the speedometer not work....thus not increasing my odometer....

I am looking into building a new gauge setup using speedhut gauges....

POS stock cluster is not worth fixing IMO

the problem I have is that I replaced the sender and the fuel gauge with no luck. what i did was unplug the sender and the gauge went half way. weird issue.
