r154 vs w58 gear ratios

start plugging in gear ratios and differential ratios to find the right combo.

in my sc300 I have used all 3 gear ratios available(sc300 mt: 4.08, sc300 at: 4.27, sc400: 3.92) my car was/is a 93 sc300 factory 5spd w58 car

w58+stock 4.08 gear= normal, peppy only in first 2 gears. then it falls flat on its face
w58+sc300 at 4.27 gear= a lot of fun!!! great response. best match for NA power
w58+sc400 3.92 gear= terrible. driving in 3rd makes rpm too high and shifting to 4th makes the car sluggish and boggy. this is only a good fit for a turbo car. NA not recommended. excellent top end though, but takes forever to top it out.

r154+4.27 gear= pretty much a w58 with a stock 4.08 gear.

I installed this torsen differential for Cullen. Backlash was ched before disassembly and then confirmed after reassembly with a new diff. everything was within FSM spec.
