Default Carbon Fiber SC Hood For Sale: VIS Racing

Are you looking for a unique and hot hood for the SC? If yes, then check this out.

I'm selling a carbon fiber hood for the SC 92-00. The price is $425 OBO.

It's VIS Racing and the model is V line, which is rare. I weighed it and it's only 30 lbs, while the OEM hood is 60 lbs. Weight saving = more power to the wheels. I'll include the hood pins as well.

This hood costs $600 at a retailer. I don't want to ship it out, because of too much packaging. I prefer local sale. I can deliver it to your place, if you're within a reasonable distance.

Come on guys! This deal is so good.

If this were only the OEM style one, I'd so take it off your hands.

I'm not sure what you meant by OEM stye. It looks better than OEM hood to me. It has a vented scoop on it, just as you see in the picture.

I actually strenghtened this hood with more fiberglass from underneath. I bonded the lower layer and the upper layer together. It's stronger than the original VIS hood. I had to spend more than 2 hours to do that.

I think he meant if there was no vent on the hood.

Norcal for me.. shipping is going to kill! I prefer OEM as well but post some picture of the backside where you strengthened it. Do you know what the weight is after you did the bondo work?

I'll try to take the picture in the weekend. There's no bondo, because bondo cracks. It's just fiberglass and resin and is flexible like body kit bumper. The total weight is 30 lbs after that fiberglass work. The stock hood weight is 60 lbs. No wonder I felt the car got a little faster with less weight. LOL.
