Default WTT:Tein Flex for????

hey guys, im looking to trade my tein flex with roughly 4k miles for any low milage COILOVERs that have a stiffer spring rate for drifting..The flex are too soft for me..I would prefer the super drifts, but im open to offers...thanks

hey james why dont you just get some custom spring rates instead of trading for the whole new super drift. i also think that theres no application for the super drift for our car or the supra yet.

*sigh* i bolded coilovers for a reason..anywho how do you go about getting custom spring rates and how much would it cost? sounds like a good idea

best thing you can do is call tein and get tech support to help you out. im looking at their 06 catalog at work. 130 for 2 springs. so like 260 retail for a set. retail should be like 220 for it. it goes up to 20kgf/mm

i think the front is like 14kg/mm and the rear is 8kg/mm

theres no point in getting custom spring rates without custom valving for the shocks. if you do get custom stiffer spring rates your shocks would blow fairly quickly, since the design of the valving in the shock is not made for such a stiff spring. you can probably get a spring rate change within +-2 kg but anything above that would make the set up very poor and shock very useless.

that what i heard too, so that just confirms it for me..so offers still open for anyone with stiffer coils...im willing to trade + more depending on milage and specs..thanx
