FS: SC300 HEATSHIELD / Filter for Intake
ok I have taken the heatshield off the intake for my car. Not becuase I wanted to, but becuase I need money so badly right now its not even funny . Anyway I bought this heatshield from a CL member about 11 months ago for around $100 shipped. It is very well made, and has really helped to keep the filter cooler and add slight performance gains.
I have included pictures of the heatshiled (sorry they were with my phone cam...all I got) I dont know if it is clear or not, but some of the heat resistant padding has came off the side of the metal itself. This stuff can be purchased for like $10, and if you do a search here on CL its not hard to find a website to order the stuff at all. Maybe you could even get it at Home Depot (if I had an extra $10 I would just get it). Anyway the thing still works, it is just not a shiny brand new item. If you wanted to re-stick the heat resistant padding, this thing would be in perfect condition.
The heatsheild bolts into stock locations and take about 2 minutes to install, very easy.
The first picture incluced is of the heatshield as it was when I purchased it brand new from a member on here. I am showing this pic, because it is of better quality than my pics, and it shows how the shield acutally fits onto the car itself. The following pics are the ones I took of the shield and filter themselves.
I can also include that filter in with the heatsheild, although it was used for a bout 8 months. I can be cleaned just like a K&N (acutal brand name escapes me) , but IMO it is better than a K&N as it has more surface area. I would say there is about 11,000 miles on the filter.
Asking $75 shipped total.
Feel free to PM with any questions
thanks!
