Quarter Window mod.. Done!
Well after failing with sparks and blown fuses, I had put my rear quarter window mod on the back burner until I could find out how the rear window actuators worked..
But then I was over at Dan K's house last weekend and he loaned me his SC manuals and it said exactly what I needed to know.. The rear quarter windows work the way I thought they did and you just reverse the polarity but my first attempt left me scared as I must've messed something up cause it didn't work.
But 4 hours later in typical SoCal Weather (mid to upper 70s), I was driving around with all 4 windows down, loving my car. The car feels and looks so much better, I'm still wondering why Lexus didn't give us this from the factory. The car still drafts super good, I think better, it reminds me of my 4 door integra with rear windows down, it almost calms the air within the cabin and feels more open.
Pros: The car looks better and more expensive, car drafts as good and feels more open, and I love the extra option for ventilation
Cons: you have to cut wires, which is very bad for a car that still has a warranty, wiring can get complicated and you have to mount a switch.
Here's the pics.. I'll have pics of where I mounted my switch tomorrow as it will get mounted on the seat heater control. The switch is still dangling.. I was too excited to go driving.. =)

Here's a pic of the windows up. Oh and sorry for the picture quality. Damn Nokia N73 washes out the pictures... I'll take some better pictures tomorrow, I have no choice cause my car is off the paint shop sometime within the next week or so. I can't wait...

This is great - LMS said they could do it but that it's 6+ hours of work, very interested in how you did it, the more details, the better. Really looking forward to learning more about how you did this.
