On the exterior of the car, there is a ring around the antenna (gold/silver depending on our car emblem color). You have to unscrew the ring first. See if you can get anywhere by doing that first. Hope this helps.
By an aftermarket one that only needs a remote turn on, 12 volt, and ground. Throw the OEM one in the garbage. My opinion. They sell for around 20 on Ebay. Alot of the plastic gear and antenna part break on the inside of the motor. Plus, the OEM one only raises at fully extended when its required, or if the signal requires it to, if I am not mistaken. It doesnt raise fully all the time. If you use an aftermarket head unit, it requires the use of only 2 wires to work, by tapping into them. Heres the link to Lextreme on the wiring of the antenna and the full audio system 92-96 though.

I got one of those fleabay antennas installed. I bought it for 18.99 I think? Anyway, can't help you on the install because one of my buds installed it for free at his shop
When you take off the antenna, can you take a picture of the hole and give me the dimensions of the hole? I need this info so I can find the right plug when I remove my antenna.

lol when im looking for power sources, i usually just stick it in every hole until it starts working, then flip the key from on to off just to make sure its not always live.
