On the exterior of the car, there is a ring around the antenna (gold/silver depending on our car emblem color). You have to unscrew the ring first. See if you can get anywhere by doing that first. Hope this helps.

By an aftermarket one that only needs a remote turn on, 12 volt, and ground. Throw the OEM one in the garbage. My opinion. They sell for around 20 on Ebay. Alot of the plastic gear and antenna part break on the inside of the motor. Plus, the OEM one only raises at fully extended when its required, or if the signal requires it to, if I am not mistaken. It doesnt raise fully all the time. If you use an aftermarket head unit, it requires the use of only 2 wires to work, by tapping into them. Heres the link to Lextreme on the wiring of the antenna and the full audio system 92-96 though.

When you take off the antenna, can you take a picture of the hole and give me the dimensions of the hole? I need this info so I can find the right plug when I remove my antenna.

I just yanked mine out and installed the flex from locustom (ebay)

I just had to locate the 12v radio source in the harness with an amp meter
Total installation took about 10 min's.

Works great.!!

12v source in the harness is the green w/yellow stripe

Dont cut the harness. Just plug one wire into it.

1. Cut the red wire end

2. twist the wire end, and locate the gray wire on the harness (I have a 92 sc400, i think they are different from king7two)

3. insert wire into the slot for the gray wire

4. Enjoy the static-free tunes
