Also, should I drive the car across the island and back (200+ miles) before I align?

Right on - thanks so much guys - I just dropped off the coilovers with my mechanic. Crossing my fingers it's not slammed when I next see it

I told him as high as possible since it will already be dropping 1-1.5" from what I've heard...

supra shock/spring to a SC is around .50 to .75 drop max i wouldnt worry about those spculations in general just tell him you want 2 finger gap or 3 finger gap or 1 inch gap etc.... whatever you feel comfortable unless you were planning on adjusting it again when you get the car. i would love to see how it looks all the way rasied though to be honest lol

Hi guys - everything worked out as hoped. My mechanic just put the coilovers on as set from the factory. This dropped the car maybe an inch, inch and a half if I had to guess. Bottomed out on a speedbump first day (frame) so I'll have to slow down a bit, but handling is great and the car feels solid. Will be taking it for some extensive driving tests this weekend so I'll determine if adjustments need to be made and go from there. Thanks for all your help!!!

Dunno - but I like how it's riding. I'll adjust as necessary. Here's some pics (I washed it after I realized how filthy it was ):

Looks good.
If shop installed them without adjustment,
that means they fully extended. Car can’t get any higher than this by adjusting the coilovers, only lower. This is what people have been telling you when you asked what the minimum drop would be. Answer, about 1.5 inches. Yes you gotta adjust your driving habits on changes to road height, like driveways and esp. speed bumps.
