Default Bumper question?

Well my wife was making a U-turn and a small wall jumped into her way. The corner of the bumper on her car was torn off. So I figure this is a good excuse to change the bumper to a 97+. Im just wondering where is the best place to get one? Also how much should I expect to pay to get it painted? All and all im just happy no metal was damaged. Plus the car will look great with that new bumper. Thanks for everyones help :-)

Club Lexus has it's very own little store inside. You can contact any of the vendors for info on products. Carson comes to mind.

Called my local Lexus dealer today and they wanted 387 for the bumper. Then I called Carson and got it for 262 and 15 shipping. Nice deal. Now I just have to get the thing painted.

My bumper has many unremovable bug stains in it. I've recently been thinking about doing the upgrade too. Does anyone happen to have a pic handy of a 92-96 sc with a 97+ front (green would be best if possible).
Thanks much!

Hey Tim, I had the same problem as you, I had a few bug stains that would not come off. I just went and bought some 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper and I wet sanded my whole front bumper. I used 2000 on most of it and 1500 on the stubborn spots, after that just get some rubbing compound (I got 3M) and either with a buffer or your hand just buff out the scratches. I would recommend that you use a power buffer bc it makes ur life a whole lot easier, doing it by hand is gonna be a real pain. Then just apply a few coats of wax then sealer and you should be set, now my bumper has a mirror shine to it and nothing sticks to it anymore.

Thanks Jon... but do you happen to have a diagonal side shot. I was hoping to see how the front looks against a skirtless side.
I saw SCLEX's pic (just did conversion) with just the front, but his front has some weird slats in the opening.

Close enough

I guess I shouldn't even need that, though. If a 97+ bumper with no skirts and tail is okay for Jon, chances are it's okay for me

Thanks bro

If i remember correctly, a user by the name of SPRUCE has a 92 SC without sideskirts and a 97+ front bumper cover. His car is spruce green.
