Default Question about the V8s

I did a search and every post I saw regarding this topic had a lot of guessing, but no solid answers.

I was curious if anyone knew FOR SURE that a 4.7 block will mate up with the 4.3 or 4.0 heads. I was also curious if anyone knew FOR sure if the 4.7 truck block was iron instead of aluminum and what the bottom end was like i.e. how many bolt mains, etc.

Every post I have seen seems to say something like "I think you can use this block with this head" or "I think the truck blocks are iron", but I need some definitive answers here people!

Thanks

-Ethan

Hey ethan, Have you tried search on Lextreme's forum? The folks over there seem to know more about the V8.

Looking at Toyota's website, it says the 4.7 Tundra now has distributorless ignition! Wouldn't mind finding out a bit more about that.
