When I bought my '95 SC300, It only had 1 key (so I thought). I wanted original Lexus keys with the Lexus emblems, so I bought a Valet key and a 1 push button remote key from a dealer in AZ. Only to find that it's next to impossible to get key's cut if you didn't buy the key from the guy that cut's the keys. Fortunately I was recommended to a kiosk in the Great Mall of the Bay Area. So I jetted off to them and they cut both my new keys. I raced over to the care to see if they would at least fit and turn. I pushed them in, turned and the started the car??? I tried the other key and the same result. I did not program the key at all!! So what gives? Did someone disable the security on the car? Or does the '95 not have any security and it only functions as a remote?

The immobilizer system was not introduced to the SC300/400 until 1998.
