Sc Upper door trim

Well I have been pondering for a while now. I am in the midst of turning my tan/brown factory interior black. I bought a ton of black vinyl and have already wrapped my LRB speed door panels, they turned out great. Now I am dealing with the nightmare of the upper door trim. I tried wrapping vinyl over top of the existing vinyl with little success. It does not stick very well and you can still see where the trim is cracked underneath. Now my solution I have started on one the the trim pieces. I peeled off the factory vinyl. The only thing holding together the dozen cracked pieces of plastic that Lexus engineers call upper door trim. Keeping track of the pieces I tediously glued them all back together with superglue and proceeded to fiberglass over top of the plastic. I laid one sheet of glass on the bottom part because I would like to be able to rest my arm on the window. My plan for tomorrow is to cover the face of the piece with fiberglass resin, and sand it all down to perfection. I hope that I will be able to stretch my 2 way stretch vinyl onto the piece. If i cannot stretch it then I will shoot them gloss black with a base/clear. I also plan to paint the woodgrain on the dash gloss black so I don't think this would be a bad option. I just cant justify spending 480 dollars each for new trim pieces. The ones I see on Ebay are from 150 to 300 dollars each and they are all cracked...

I am going to try to keep good tabs on this if anyone else can be helped by this.

Fiberglassed the bottom where I will rest my arm for added support.
