What to do with my old SC400 seats?

I bought my SC400 from my neighbor and the leather seats were all shot. Dry and cracking with lots of tears and splits. I replaced my seats with ones from a 1993 SC400 and recently moved back home a few months ago and there's nowhere to put them. I hate to see them go to the dump, but I've listed them for free everywhere and no one seems to want them.

Do the seats have the motors on them and do they work? A few people need those, perhaps other bits under/around the seat?

You've listed them here on the SC300/400 classifieds as well as locally? Even if the leather is shot the seats themselves are often in good working condition. If no one has claimed them even for free at the very least the seat motors are sometimes needed on the used market as ALISC400 mentioned ^^ Also maybe the control switches and the underside connector with a long pigtail. Even the backing plates and nets depending on condition. Original seat leather of this age in any car is usually going to be in need of replacement but of course that does influence the value of OEM seats in the used market.

I hope someone who needs them will take them off your hands though.

I listed my old seats on Craigslist and it sold quickly. The buyer wanted the brackets, rails, and electronics in working condition.
He was told by a shop to search for SCx00 seats to put in his 1963 Chevy Nova. Of course the seats will be reupholstered along with modifications involving cutting the seat height down to resemble seats in that era.

When listing it online, include a tag for chevy nova

The buyer showed me a picture similar to the picture below of SC300 seats converted for old Chevy Nova.

Out of curiosity, what year is your car? I'd been looking at 93 seats to replace my 95's worn out ones, wanted to make sure the power connector was the same.

They are 1992. The seats I replaced them with were 1993 I believe, and I had to remove some of the wires from the plug because it was smaller than the originals ones on the 1992 seats.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, plug changes from year to year. Thanks, that's what I needed to know!
