As the title states, I've been trying to track down my old 1997 SC300 that I built many years ago bc I would like to possibly buy it back. It was red but darker than factory bc I had the whole car painted and was 1JZ swapped with auto trans. Attached are some pics of it and I saw it a few years ago with a member on here out of Miami. I know it's like a needle in a haystack but I have to at least try. The person that had it added a front lip and rear roof spoiler and changed the wheels from what I remember. Any info would be appreciated and unfortunately I've looked through everything to try and find the VIN with no success.

Check the carfax on your old VIN... it should give you an idea where it's been lately.

Well, decided to call my current insurance which is who I had back in 2006 and they were able to give me the VIN so I'm one step closer...

Bump again, I now have the VIN and it was registered last in Cape Coral FL 6/16/16 according to the Carfax. The VIN is JT8CD32Z3V0037936. I'm sure it's probably in a scrap yard somewhere since it hasn't been registered in forever but I would still like to know to put my mind at rest.

Tried looking it up on my end - the last time it was at any Lexus dealership was in 2002, so not much help there.
